As an actor, Grant has performed extensively in the Minneapolis theater scene from a young age. His work onstage has been seen at the Guthrie, Theater Latte Da, Yellow Tree Theater, The Children's Theater Company, 7th House Theater, The Playwright's Center, and many others. A versatile performer, his work has ranged from award-winning musical theater (Spring Awakening, Next to Normal, Little Shop of Horrors) to Shakespeare (The Winter's Tale, Coriolanus), from classic American drama (The Normal Heart, Six Degrees of Separation) to new play development (Le Switch, Cinephilia.) His work in Now or Later with New Epic Theater was honored with a 2016 Ivey Award.

Grant's training includes the Regional Tony Award-winning Children's Theater Company's Theater Arts Training Conservatory, and the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.
